The Art Of Drinking

Old Fashioned.

A cocktail made by muddling sugar with bitters, adding alcohol (like whiskey or brandy), and a twist of citrus rind. Served in a round 8-12 US fl oz (240 – 350 ml) tumbler-like class. Don Draper’s (Mad Men TV series) choice of drink.

(1 Sugar Cube, 3 Angostura Bitters, 1 L Club Soda, 2 oz. Rye Whiskey)

Jägerbomb / Perla Negra.

1/2 Red Bull + Jägermeister (1/2 oz)

Vodka Martini.

The bartender directly knows the reference when you say: “Shaken, not stirred.”

The Vodka Martini combines vodka with vermouth and ice, served in a chilled cocktail glass. The gentleman drink, chosen by James Bond, the drink became an icon for gentlemen around the world.

You can choose a dry Martini (with dry, white vermouth), a dirty Martini (splash of olive juice and garnished with an olive) or a Perfect Martini (equal amounts of sweet and dry vermouth)

Wine.

Every gentleman should be capable of understanding and knowing the differences between grapes and wines. A sophisticated glass of red even has it’s health benefits such as controlling blood sugar and protecting the heart).

Will you choose a Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon or a Shiraz?

My current choice:

Red Wine  “19 Crimes” Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

White Wine Pinot Grigio delle Venezie 2020 – Canti – Italy
